Alum
Editorial Design & Visual Accompaniment · 2022
Role: Creative direction, content structuring, editorial design and illustrations.

Alumbre began with in-person natural dyeing workshops and required clear and attractive accompanying material.
The challenge: to design a practical and aesthetic editorial document, capable of instructing and at the same time conveying the artisanal philosophy of the project.

A manual as an experience.
The document had to be more than just instructions: a tool that made the user feel supported throughout the process, both in an in-person workshop and during independent practice with the kit.

Typography:
humanist serif for titles (handmade) + clear sans serif for steps and tables.

Color:
For this editorial, the base is black and white, allowing for personalization and recording of formulas and results.

Illustrations:
We develop graphic accompaniments to explain fibers, processes and results.

Layout
Modular structure with clear sections: inputs, preparation, steps by fiber, aftercare.

The manual became a central part of Alumbre's business model: first, it accompanied workshops, and then it added value to the supply kit.
